Saw a lot of hype about this place opening, and we managed to get a reservation earlier in the week so thought would give it a try.. Not many new high end teppanyaki places in HK lately, and the location is obviously very convenient for those working in Central and the ones who like to hang out in LKF.. While there were still some early opening issues like timing the reservations and length of meal, the service is pretty good as with most other Black Sheep restaurants.. It's catered to more casual western clients, where the servers make a lot of friendly small talk with customers and.. The service style is not for everyone, and it may be a turn off for some... In terms of the food, we had high expectations and ordered the Deluxe set, which was priced at $1188. I would say the food was pretty good, but it wasn't wow and none of the dishes stood out... Portions were decent and the amount of beef was slightly more than other teppanyaki restaurants. There are definitely other places in HK with better quality at similar or even cheaper prices... But it's certainly a pretty good choice for the location, atmosphere and vibe. Like the service, I would say the food is not for everyone, especially not for foodies, or those who expect Japan quality teppanyaki, but it's good enough for most people.. Somehow the menu seemed like it was again catered to more westernized locals or expat crowd.. For those who like whiskey, they have an area in the back for after dinner drinks and desserts, and it was a nice area to just hang out.. Desserts were fine, but was quite generic and could have been served at any other restaurant. Overall, I would say it's pretty decent teppanyaki place in Central thats fine for their targeted clientele.. Would probably try again in the future after they smoothed things out after running it for a while..
